Advice and answers from the Naytev Team

We encourage you to invite team members to your Naytev account. You can easily tailor roles and permissions to facilitate your team's workflow and communication. Below is a quick review of how to get started.

Team Roles in Naytev

Team admins can assign users to several roles. Below are the role types and privileges.

  1. Admins can view/create/modify Tests, modify Team Settings, add teammates and modify Account settings (including license selection)
  2. Editors can view/create/modify Tests, modify Team Settings, but cannot add teammates or access Account settings
  3. Social Publishers can view Tests, publish Test messages organically, and create/modify organic posts to your active social handles
  4. Viewers can only view Test results

How to Add Team Members

In order to add teammates, you must ensure the new user has access to the appropriate Facebook permissions for their role. Here's a breakdown of permissions required by Naytev role:

Role:

Admin or Editor

  • Facebook Ad Account Admin or Advertiser
  • Facebook Page Admin or Editor

Social Publisher

  • Facebook Page Admin or Editor

Viewer

  • Facebook Ad Account Admin, Advertiser, or Viewer

Admins can invite a teammate as an Editor, Social Publisher, or Viewer, and subsequently upgrade that teammates to an Admin role assuming the teammate has the appropriate Facebook permissions.

If you're inviting an teammate to join a Team that has multiple Facebook Pages enabled, the teammate must have permissions enabled for each Page in order to join. If you'd like to allow access to only some Pages, consider creating multiple Teams within your organization. Multiple Teams are supported on enterprise licenses.

If Facebook Ad Account Permissions Are Needed

To check if your teammates have the appropriate Ad Account permissions, open Facebook Ad Manager (click Manage Ads in the top right corner of Facebook), click "Account Settings" and scroll down to "Ad Account Roles":

Facebook Ad Account >> Account Settings >> Ad Account Roles

There you can see which people have permissions and modify permissions. For the person you'd like to add to the account, select the appropriate level of permissions.

If Facebook Page Permissions Are Needed

To check if your teammates have the appropriate Facebook Page permissions, visit your Facebook Page within Facebook's dashboard. Choose "Settings", then "Page Roles":

Facebook Page >> Settings >> Page Roles

For the person you'd like to add to the account, select the appropriate level of permissions.
